For the public use of sound recordings as background music in connection with bingo sessions. The fees are annual fees which have been calculated for 30 mins. use per session for average attendances of up to 1000; fees increase pro rata for longer sessions and for attendances over 1000. If sound recordings are used for only 20 mins. per session, fees will be reduced proportionately (2/3 of the fee shown). For each session per week over 4, add 1/3 of the fee for 1 session at the applicable attendance figure. Minimum annual fee under this tariff is €35.23. Tariffs are payable on an annual basis. Tariff amounts are liable to Value Added Tax at the appropriate rate. For 2009 and future years the above per event fees for 2008 shall be increased in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI). PPI reserves the right to amend these terms upon giving notice to The Controller of Patents, Designs and Trademarks in writing to that effect.
